Hat Fitz and Cara can in no way be mistaken for a dainty duo. This dynamic two piece band are a unique combination that have skilfully combined their hill style Gospel blues with old timey flavourings.  

Stripped down to just voices, guitar and vintage drums, Hat Fitz and Cara embellish impeccable rootsy originals with powerful and soulful vocals reminiscent of a time once forgotten. Over the course of 11 albums, Ottawa-area singer songwriter Brock Zeman has built a reputation as a writer of great depth and passion through his thoughtful, often personal songs. Widely regarded as one of Canada’s most prolific songwriters and best-kept secrets, his 2015 release Pulling Your Sword Out of the Devil’s Back was a semifinalist in the International Songwriting Competition and came in second in the The Unsigned Only Competition in 2015.
