The Chef's Table: A Farm-to-Table Feast featuring Chef Michael Moffatt
Pull up a chair and join us at The Chef’s Table: A local farm-to-table feast! The Ontario Festival of Small Halls is growing its celebration of local chefs and their offerings by putting on one-of-a-kind country feasts in unique locations throughout Ottawa’s countryside.
The Meal - Chef Michael Moffatt
This Chef’s Table event is curated by renowned Ottawa chef Michael Moffatt (Thyme & Again) and features a three-course meal created by Chef Moffatt using locally-sourced ingredients.
When interviewed about his partnership with Sheila Whyte of Thyme and Again, Moffatt noted “I’m interested in creating experiences where food plays a part, but where the event is bigger than just food."
The Music - Steve Hill
When it comes to one-man bands, guitarist and singer extraordinaire Steve Hill has no limits. The truest definition of a one-man band; Hill performs standing up while singing and playing guitar, his feet playing bass drum, snare drum, hi-hats and with a drum stick fused to the head of his trusty guitar, any other percussion within reach.
“The one-man band style has made him the top star in the Canadian blues scene right now.” (Bob Mersereau, CBC)
The Venue - Saunders Farm
NOTE: due to challenging growth conditions, unfortunately the Sunflower Festival has been cancelled for 2019. Special events, such as Chef's Table, will continue as planned. Read more on the Saunders Farm website. Attendees will still have access to the beautiful farm gardens and mazes.
